An across Canada journey in memory of Francine Marleau, a friend who lived with cerebral palsy. We hope to raise money for the Cerebral Palsy Support Foundation of Canada. Our goal is to raise $7000; roughly the equivalent of our mileage.

Fort Frances to Espanola

Since Fort Frances we've logged over 1300 kilometers from Quetico provincial park to Thunder Bay and then around the east side of lake Superior . We arrived on the shores of Lake Huron last night ( Thessalon ) . Tomorrow we will head south to take the ferry to Tobermory and Georgian Bay.The scenery around lake Superior has been spectacular though the mornings have been foggy.Since Thunder Bay we have been sharing the road and several campgrounds with a group of 41 cyclists who are crossing Canada from Victoria to Saint Johns Nfld. and this has made this stretch of Ontario a lot more interesting . We see them off and on most days , and have come to know a few of them by name.
Here's our mileage log :
Fort Frances to Quetico Provincial Park- 195km; toThunder Bay -170km; to Nipigon -100km; to Neys Provincial Park (very nice) 169km; to White Lake Provincial park -101 km ; to Wawa 130km ; a welcome rest day in Wawa our 2nd rest day since leaving Vancouver ; to Pancake Bay( beautiful sandy beaches) 152 km ; to Thessalon 169km ; to Espanola 164km . Bye for now
