July 16th, Rosetown Saskatchewan

Arrived in Rosetown , Saskatchewan this afternoon after a 90km ride against a good easterly headwind. our plan had been to stay in Outlook which is 70km east of here but we decided to cut it short .
Including today we've cycled 638 km in 5 days since leaving Banff . On Tuesday we cycled in rain ( 15mm ) for 6 and a half hours ( 154km ) from Cochrane to Drumheller Al. We figured this was payback for the 12 straight days of sunshine through the Rockies .
The Rockies are but a memory now and the prairies as expected are pretty flat, though the scenery is still beautiful especially the yellow canola fields stretching to the horizon.
Since leaving Banff we have taking advantage of some pretty good tailwinds and put in some respectable mileage . Banff to Cochrane 105km , to Drumheller 154 km , to Youngstown 134km ,to Kindersley Sask. 155 km ,and to Rosetown 90km .Out here in the prairies we've been offered people's backyards to camp on several occasions though we've haven't taken these offers , it is nice to get them . I'm unable to download pictures here in the Rosetown info center , so next chance I get I will post a few .
take care
Lee

Vous êtes effectivement notre inspiration. Mon Dieu, que de kilomètres vous avez parcourus malgré la pluie. Lâchez-pas. Vous avez donc franchi la Saskatchewan. Wow. Go go go, nous sommes avec vous et merci Lee pour le blogue.
